Awareness Campaigns

Gut Cancers have some of the lowest 5-year survival rates in New Zealand. We raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of gut cancers to ensure people get diagnosed earlier.

Shining A Light on all cancers of the digestive system

We run targeted digital and nationwide multi-media awareness campaigns to ‘Shine A Light’ on the symptoms and risk factors for all cancers of the digestive system. These campaigns are designed to educate people on how to prevent gut cancers to reduce the number of people developing these diseases. We raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of gut cancers to ensure people get diagnosed earlier.

Gut Cancers – Not To Be Ignored

One of our first ventures into awareness-raising was the multimedia ‘Not To Be Ignored’ national campaign. The campaign aimed to highlight the fact that symptoms of gut cancers are ften those we don’t want to think about, and therefore are left ignored until a diagnosis comes too late.
