Most of us know someone that has been affected by some type of cancer or it might be a thought that crosses our mind when we consider our own health and exposures.For me personally, I'm fundraising because I have had friends and family affected by cancer and very recently (this year) we lost someone close to my family via stomach cancer.

I also work as a career firefighter and see the effect of cancer on people and there loved ones when attending medical calls as-well as been exposed to high levels of cancer causing substances as part of our job.My initial thought was to just complete a marathon for a personal goal but I have enjoyed fundraising and I am proud of every step of the way so far bringing attention and awareness around gut cancers.
