Gut Cancer Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of our first My Care KIT, a new free resource designed to support New Zealanders diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, as well as their whānau and carers. This is part of our wider upper GI support service developed to provide practical Knowledge, Information and Tools to help people better understand a pancreatic cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and the different pathways involved in living with the disease. Now available through our website, My Care KIT can be ordered as a printed binder with free shipping NZ-wide or downloaded digitally.
Practical support in one place
A pancreatic cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, and many patients and families are faced with a large amount of complex information in a short period of time. My Care KIT has been created with evidence-based information from upper GI cancer experts and brings together easy-to-follow resources to help patients and whānau feel more informed and supported on their cancer journey.
My Care KIT includes information on understanding pancreatic cancer diagnosis and treatment, diet and nutrition support, Pancreatic Enzyme Replacement Therapy (PERT ), and more. There is also space to record notes, appointments, and information to share with your care team.
